Here you can find a list of ongoing and concluded research projects. From 2021 to 2024 I am directing the project „Zuwanderung aus Südosteuropa – Teilhabe und Zusammenhalt auf kommunaler Ebene ermöglichen“ (Transnational migration between Romania/Bulgaria and the Ruhr Area – opportunities for long-term participation and sustainable development), funded by Mercator Foundation. From 2023 to 2025 I am co-directing the study „Stay, return, or move on: Comparing the life strategies of forced migrants in the transit countries of Colombia, Jordan, Mexico, and Turkey“ in cooperation with Stephanie Schütze/Free University Berlin, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). More information on the project here.

A list of concluded studies that were funded based on detailed applications for competitive calls and tenders is given in the following. The total amount of research grants I have received is more than 5 Million Euro third-party funding, spent mainly for personnel and field work activities.
